At Moms Without Capes, we believe that no one should have to carry everything on their own. That philosophy doesn’t just apply to moms—it applies to therapists, too.
Whether you’re beginning your practicum, completing your internship, or seeking clinical supervision for licensure, I believe the best clinicians aren’t the ones who strive for perfection. They’re the ones who remain curious, continue learning, practice self-awareness, and recognize that caring for themselves allows them to better care for others.
My role as your clinical supervisor is to provide a supportive environment where you can grow in confidence, strengthen your clinical skills, and become the therapist you were created to be.

Hi there! I’m Onnie and I’ve wanted to work in the mental health field since I was in high school. I’ve always been fascinated by people and passionate about helping them work through life’s challenges so they can create healthier, more fulfilling lives.
As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, I specialize in working with women and mothers through my practice, Moms Without Capes. Over the years, my passion has expanded beyond counseling to supporting the therapists who provide that care. Through founding the Montana Circle, I’ve seen firsthand how valuable mentorship, collaboration, and professional community can be—not just for seasoned clinicians, but for those just beginning their careers.
As your supervisor, my goal is to provide more than the hours of supervision required for licensure. I want to help you grow into a confident, ethical clinician while developing a sustainable career you’ll enjoy for years to come.
My supervision style is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while encouraging each supervisee to develop their own authentic therapeutic style. My role is to challenge, encourage, and support you as you grow into the therapist you were meant to become.
I provide clinical supervision for practicum students, internship students, and pre-licensed counselors seeking licensure in Montana.
My supervision is designed for counseling students and associate-level clinicians who are working toward independent licensure and are looking for a supportive, collaborative environment to grow both personally and professionally.
If you are pursuing LCSW licensure, I may also be able to support your journey. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), I can provide up to 50 hours of supervision toward LCSW licensure, in accordance with current Montana Board requirements. If you’re unsure whether I’m the right fit for your supervision needs, I’d be happy to discuss your goals and help you determine the best path forward during a consultation.
Yes! I offer both in-person and virtual clinical supervision for license candidates in Montana.
If you’re located in the Billings area, we can meet in person at my office. For counselors, interns, and pre-licensed clinicians elsewhere in Montana, I offer virtual supervision through a secure HIPAA-compliant video platform.
Whether we meet in person or online, you’ll receive the same personalized support, clinical guidance, and mentorship to help you grow into a confident, ethical clinician.
The frequency of supervision depends on where you are in your professional journey and the requirements for your program or licensure.
Practicum and Internship Students
We will meet weekly for individual supervision, providing consistent support as you develop your clinical skills, process cases, and integrate what you’re learning in the classroom with your work with clients.
Pre-Licensed Candidates
For counselors working toward independent licensure in Montana, we will meet in accordance with Montana’s supervision requirements—generally one hour of supervision for every 20 hours of direct client contact. Because many candidates maintain a caseload of up to approximately 24 direct client hours per week, this typically means we’ll meet once each week.
Group Supervision
If I have multiple supervisees at the same stage of training, group supervision may also be available. Group supervision provides an opportunity to learn alongside peers, gain different clinical perspectives, and build professional connections while meeting supervision requirements.
Supervision is an investment in your growth as a clinician, and I want to make sure we’re a good fit before discussing fees.
During a free consultation, we’ll talk about your current stage of training, your supervision requirements, your professional goals, and whether my supervision approach is the right fit for you. I’ll also review my current supervision rates and answer any questions you may have.
If we decide to move forward together, you’ll receive all the information you need to begin your supervision journey with confidence.

Absolutely! Every supervisee receives complimentary membership to the Montana Circle for the duration of our supervision relationship.
The Montana Circle is a statewide community for mental health professionals designed to foster connection, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth. As a member, you’ll have access to networking events, peer consultation, book discussions, clinical resources, and a growing network of therapists across Montana.
My hope is that by the time you complete your supervision, you’ll have more than your license—you’ll have meaningful professional relationships, a strong referral network, and a supportive community you can continue to lean on throughout your career.
"Onnie brings a warm and honest presence as a supervisor. She has a breath of knowledge about the counseling field and business experience that has been invaluable to learn from as a new clinician.
